Turmeric Tea
This is an Ayurvedic turmeric tea recipe that is believed to aid in joint pain relief. It is thought to lubricate the joints & is recommended for arthritis, bursitis & tendonitis sufferers.
Ingredients:
1/4 cup spring or distilled water
1/8 tsp turmeric powder
3 cardamom pods
1 cup whole organic milk
2 tbsp cold-pressed almond oil
honey or maple syrup to taste
Directions:
1) Bring water to boil. Add turmeric & cardamom. Reduce het & simmer 5-10 min.
2) Add milk & almond oil. Heat just to boiling, but do not allow to come to a full boil.
3) Remove from heat & strain into a coffee mug. Add honey or maple syrup to sweeten if desired.
